I just checked out #Robosats for the first time. It is a #lightning enabled P2P #BTC exchange. I found a seller ($50 - $500) offering 3% above spot (not bad for non-kyc sats), they accepted PayID and the trade cost 0.175%. Overall a pretty good experience and under 5mins to do the trade.
I guess I could have got lucky finding a peer accepting AUD via PayID.

I tried it few years ago and I agree with you. But it feels like the payment method is a single point of failure.
My bank would probably raise a red flag if they see email transfers (canadian payment method) to a bunch of people everywhere in Canada and they would probably want to audit my income tax reports (big pain in the ass). 🤔
A solution could be to pay with gift cards purchased with cash (Some of them accept it). 🤔
As a general rule, the riskier the payment method, the higher the premium.
Nice idea with giftcards but I think you are being a bit paranoid depending on the size of the payments. I can't believe a red flag would be raised for this, for smaller amounts under $1000. If you think it would, how about using a multicurrancy virtual account with wise.com ?
