 This week's #FolkloreThursday tale is called "Scrapyard Shangri-La" 🌳🚗

It is a #story of rusty #oldtimers left in the forest wilderness of Sweden.

This was once a #scrapyard owned by two brothers, who lived in a small house nearby. When most of Europe switched to right-hand drive in 1967, cars were brought here by the hundreds.

The business closed in the 1980s. The #cargraveyard was originally three times the size of what you can see today, but still hundreds of #abandoned cars remain.

 @c67f9a3a I’m reminded of this city in Uruguay where similarly-aged relics are permanently parked on the city streets: https://ericscouten.travel/2012/11-26+south-america/17-colonia/
 @c67f9a3a Real, #cargraveyard🥰🥰😪😪
