People got mad at Callmecarson, but I think they genuinely did not realize he was 19. A lot of Minecraft youtubers have this weird thing where they look like and act like children even though they are like, 40 year old men. In other words, their mistake wasn't that they had a problem with 19-year-olds and 17-year-olds dating. Their mistake was their debilitating desire to sacrifice a pedophile to Yahweh as penance for their sins.

I have heard the "17 years 11 months 29 days" thing quoted by others a many times, but I've never talked with someone who actually argued that line themselves. If you want people to doubt your character though, letting them know that you've put that much thought into the age of consent is something I think many people will interpret as nothing more than an otherwise meaningless pedophile dogwhistle.

Personally, I agree with the idea that one probably shouldn't sleep with some 18 year old bimbo who's slept with 20 guys, but that belief has little to do with the law, social expectations, or how attractive or unattractive children might be. If you want to focus on the strawmen then that's fine, but I'm personally very interested in hearing if you would want to criticize what I believe.
