I'm there as well. Started my business on Facebook 7/8 years ago. Did very well in the beginning but I was never comfortable with the way it worked, I rarely used it as a "social" platform. In the end the algorithm killed my business and me. It was so exhausting. For the first time I now have a platform where I feel comfortable to share and social on. I like to share my adventures with others and finally found my people. Took the plunge and deleted my FB and IG yesterday and it's so freeing!

ty for sharing your story with us. It is very refreshing that I was not alone on this. At first I was confused how people put up with it and gave their hard earned cash for the ads. The answer that I've got was: you either beat the algorithm or learn the ropes. I truly understand that some small business has to do anything to keep it upfloat. The same goes for those who need to stick to their job because of their bills. I have respect for them. However, what I have learned that the more I compromise my values, my authenticity in order to survive, it only brought resentment. Hence, I decided I will do business within my terms and with the people/company I am comfortable with. No more compromises. I have no problem creating organic content from those platforms to drive traffic to where I need my target audience to reside. I am 🤞 my fingers that #nostr last so I do not need to go back creating ads from those big techs! ☺️🫂✌️

Every situation comes with an opportunity. One time my FB page was blocked from creating ads and I was livid and frsutrated. That was my awakening moment for me that I was giving my power away to those tech companies and let them dictate my business. 3 weeks ago I finally deleted my FB acct! Yes, it was so liberating! 👏💯☺️
