Can I get some zap just with a basic primal.net account? Do I need more setting up?
You should be able to set it up by tapping the Lightning icon at the center bottom. 🤙
You will need to activate a wallet in order to zap or receive zaps
I have wallet of satoshi on my phone and put the address in primal. I received some sats so that part works! But when I tried to zap I expected to receive something to allow the payment but nothing. Haven't had the time to look more into that.
Unless you have activated a wallet in Primal, using the WoS address will only allow you to receive zaps to that address. However we don’t support zapping users from your WoS wallet. You can use Nostr Wallet Connect on Android, but I’m afraid on iOS the only option is to activate our built-in wallet

Let's try my new address on LNbits, apparently Primal cannot zap but all other wallet I tried worked.
Yes, failed with Primal. Seemed to succeed with Alby. 🤙
Register under US addresses. You will get Primal LN wallet.

Also this test instance use Alby and it seems they charges a shitload of fees on their channel, I sent 50 sats to test and got only 21!

When I set up my Nostr account I was immediately assigned 160 or so random followers. Who chose them for me and based on what criteria, do you happen to know? Thanks in advance for your help.
It looks like you set up your account with Primal (initially at least). I think the app auto-follows recommended accounts based on your interests to get you going. This feature seems to rub some people the wrong way.
