The mid-season climax of my husband's Dungeons and Dragons campaign is tonight.

There’s been all sorts of political intrigue and missions to gather evidence and build coalitions but now we gotta just outright storm the palace and defeat the evil cleric who had the prior Sultan assassinated and usurped the throne.

Wish me luck. -_-'

 Good luck, kick ass!
Oh hey growing up is a thing.
"Many people die at age 25, but are not buried until they're 75."
There’s an age where you stop giving AF about what people think, and for some people that happens too young and for others it happens too late.

Crucially, your only currency here is time and if you spend most of your time chasing the same thing, did you really get the full experience out of life?
I think you just landed a critical hit ☠️😂
I miss playing DnD very badly.
 Good luck 🥳😂
 legends could be born today.
can I be a honey badger bard
 Fuck that cleric up 🔥
 Ooh! Sounds fun.
 🐉👩🏻‍🎤
 LFG! what's your class? 🗡🏹🛡⚔️🪓
 Bard.
 Based
Somehow that's suprising, I imagined Lyn the Paladin 😂

My longest serving build was a neutral good, wood elf ranger.

But my most fun build was a Chaotic Neutral Goblin Artificer, unfortunately that campaign was cut short.
 Nerd
 In a good way 😉
 Good luck 🤣
 🙌🤘
I loved Xena back in the day!
Wish I had friends cool enough to play D&D
Give the cleric a few kicks for me.
I imagined you doing the Xena scream and busting through a door 😂
Good news all, it was mostly successful. Took five damn hours though.

Killed fourteen evil clerics, a fire elemental, and captured the villain with our strike force. Successfully drew the attention of enough of the palace so that our larger second wing could take the palace. Depleted every single spell slot I had. Really complex battle; had to use all my resources correctly to leave counterspells open at the right time to block the big fatal spells, etc. Always a big trade-off between different options.

At the climax, the other three party members in my group were down, I had 6 HP and the villain had 3 HP, and I was just trying to kamikaze with him at that point basically.

The one good cleric on the side of the bad guys came and the villain was like “help me kill her!” and I was like, “No, instead arrest us both if you must! And stabilize my three compatriots. I can speak of his treachery under a Zone of Truth but he cannot do the same!” Rolled higher than him on my persuasion check (I am a bard after all) and had reached out to that cleric previously so I had already set her up with evidence of his treachery ahead of time. So she listened to me and had us both arrested and stabilized the team, and that’s a win for our side that’ll be sorted out in the resolution episode.

Phew.
 🙏👍❤️
LFG! Gotta love those epic sessions…once in a blue moon
Somehow, you guys playing D&D is very unsurprising 🤭
Does your party do a tabletop kinda setup? If so, post pictures of your Minis!!
Were all Lyn...I played D&D as a 1984 kid our dice were nicer just saying...
Sounds like an exciting night . You got this !
