Yesterday I was buying a game for my kids to play on our Nintendo Switch. To pay $60 via PayPal I had to scan a QR code from the screen, sign into my Nintendo account on my phone, choose all the pictures of buses, missed one, then had to do motorcycles, enter a 2FA code on the Switch, then finally login to PayPal using a different 2FA code, and then go through another couple of confirmation steps to actually send the payment.
Now hear me out…that first QR code could have been the payment itself.
