One of my great hopes for bitcoin is that it enables a different kind of decentralization: The revitalization of small towns.

One of the sadder things I experience fairly regularly is seeing how much the US is rotting from the inside.

(This is a little hyperbolic. I mean the part of the US that I am in.)

I don't mean in terms of values or morals (although this is also happening) but just driving through old towns that used to be centers of industry, now many are in severe disrepair.
