Got mine recently too. It's actually SUPER nice. Very easy. Not a device for people looking to do anything complicated or custom but it's great for less technical folks and gives a lot of piece of mind (basically the perfect device for family members, which is what I got them for). 

 So it would make a good “checking” account for us salty nerds out there? 

 Yeah. Actually that might be a good way to think about it
