 Welcome @jack 🫂👽
Appreciate the sentiment, since fiction has trained everyone to knee-jerk into the worst case scenario with AI. But despite sounding good, and saying it confidently, no one can be sure of what the outcome of this is going to be. This is the most uncharted of uncharted. I am still awed by the advances, week after week. If feels unreal at this point.
I feel this is true too “But an AI system doesn’t have the essence of improvised music, which relies on communication of mood and emotion from a human. At least not yet. That’s why jazz music is to be listened to live.”
I don't think anyone would anytime soon turn off humans away from AI... it's way too seductive...

also... not this... 👇🏻

censorship is uncool...

open source AI ok

can applaud the genius and the positioning of supposed good intentions and also be aware that geniuses are still human and even when on the cutting edge of cutting edge of innovation there seems to still be a distinct stinch of ego stagnation ruled by control and domination...

I hated Meta's speech policing as a very outspoken against mainstream narrative person over the last 3 years. I'm pretty much dead and buried most of the time in fb land because of it.

also I hate chatbots, they drive me crazy.

...though would be stoked to eventualy have several more intelligent than me assistants...

AI is nothing new for me. Been surrounded by artificial intelligence for a long time. 😢

I don't think a machine can ever compare to human creativity, emotional intelligence, etc. Personally, I think the main limitations of AI come from it's creators/researchers/developers.
could you check your DMs Mr. Dorsey, please?
 Facts. Good read
 word
"They don't realize that AI actually mitigates dangers like hate speech, misinformation, propagandist attempts to corrupt the electoral system."

(You would think there would be an "and" in there)

It's funny because for over a decade (idk how long exactly) AI has been used to propagate misinformation, hate speech, propaganda, corruption and run psychological operations.

Chatbots ->
"They are going to democratize creativity to some extent. They can produce very fluent text with very good style. But they're boring, and what they come up with can be completely false"

There's a little bit of irony here and it feels contradictory.

Chatbots are usually thought of as a program with predefined answers, whereas AI take your input and uses various algorithms to feed you an answer determined to be sufficient.

In all reality it depends. It's all basically the same thing now.

AI will certainly take jobs away - but it'll be a long time before these systems can actually behave like a human brain, rather than imitating, mimicking, and creating an illusion of "thought". ( 🤔 .. technically... lol 🤐)

I think it'd be great if AI sanitized all of the foul-mouthed speech people use these days!

Grow your vocabulary, sheesh!
