I, personally, couldn't give a fuck about my number of followers, follows, is where it's at. Be selective, curate. Discern👌🏻.
They're all following the same handful of people, so whenever those people reply to something, everyone just piles on and cheers. Their followers often don't even see the notes containing a possible counterargument. It's like responding to a wall.
Sometimes I'll put some effort into a response and they write "See, you have no response to that!" right next to my response because they can't see it.
Or maybe they do see it and are just trolling me.
Never argue with anyone whose opinion you do not respect anyways. It’s not worth it.
I'll be honest with you. I don't use social media apart from #Nostr. I don't like "Noise", I don't like arguments, I don't like bullshit. Nostr, largely, doesn't supply it. I follow people who I like and who I'll get insightful content from.
