Yeah I could never get the vibe there. I don’t need nonstop memes or abrasive conversation to convince me if a technology is valid. That website was always set up to drive engagement, therefor conflict. The Fediverse has been great in that regard and I’ve met a tonne of cool people there. It’s going to take a while before I can say the same about here but I’ll give it time. I want to use an internet where I’m free from bastards trying to manipulate my actions for their profit. It might be basic but if my data has value, I want that value!
