OK, I tried it. To no avail.

It's cool that you took the time to work on it and make it available, but it's just way too complicated to run for a non-tech person.

I had to create a GitHub account I have zero use for, then learn how to import the repository. Then learn how to install nodejs, then install a boatload of other stuff I have zero use for needed to run node, then tinker with settings, dependencies, path variables, etc. and even then, when I managed to run the thing after a couple of hours of battling with all that stuff, it hasn't solved the issue.

Most likely I will just dump Nostr after this. This really broke my patience and motivation.
Ah I'm sad to hear it didn't work. It's not a tool geared towards non-tech people, I made it for myself as I had the same nasty issue a while ago and put it on GitHub in case anyone else ran into the same problem.

I've looked at your prior notes, and think you have a clear idea on what Nostr can bring and how it can be improved. It's still rough and the technology can be abrasive, but so was bitcoin a long time ago. I hope you can look past that.
OK, I just remembered I'm not a techie, but I'm not completely useless either ;)

What do I do with this?

Not sure where these files came from?
Iris client has this thing to backup your data in json format, and upload it as required. The profile and follows file failed to download, it was empty.

But the my events file did work. It said it restored all my follows, although actually only 850 seem to have made it. But it's good enough to make me stick around.
