. . . in case you didn't know #TimHorton is considered to be one of the 100 best hockey players to have played in the National Hockey League. He was a gentle giant of a man. As a kid I saw him play, and remember the day hearing on the radio that he had been killed in a car crash. https://image.nostr.build/3d7ce812d69e72f913ab7648f89be781838d627915dad0afb246b9993861b02f.jpg https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Horton nostr:nevent1qqsft0sgnsya8j6v24cw78yl776lwz5w29ql9d4sqhm8fskrhyavqegppamhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5pzqj5nelekm4aruughza09y8yy26ansshnc23wq2kdha79dqz8rhemqvzqqqqqqytp9u7z
That's amazing you saw him play in person! I love hockey and am very familiar with Tim Horton. I wish I could've seen him play with Mr. Hockey and the Great One as well. That would be quite some game. #GordieHowe #WayneGretzky #TimHorton #Hockey #OldTimeHockey
I grew up in a neighbourhood in Toronto. We lived three houses from the Connie Smyth family. My mom and aunt went to school with their kids. I saw Frank Mahovlich, Carl Brewer, and Bobby Hull play as juniors. The family has had seasons tickets in Toronto since the '50s. I'm not sure anyone can afford to go, though. Never saw Howe play in person. I think my all time favorite is Orr. Don't remember seeing him play either. My uncle knew his family. Moved to Vancouver as a kid in' 58, played hockey with a guy who at the time was the stickboy from age 10 with the WHL Canucks, and is still with the team. I skated up until a few years ago, but got tired of skating round and round.
Here's a nice photo from the Hockey Hall of Fame just outside the shop on one of my visits. #Hockey #OldTimeHockey #TimHorton #Awesome https://image.nostr.build/e9f7ecdb9eb68ed7aac28ddce1cccb2ac4b3c7501f8bef533eab6969ae2c159b.jpg
