A pruned node still downloaded the whole history from genesis, but just stores a certain amount on your computer. You can’t stuff all the ingredients in a 6inch
So you make a footlong and then cut it in half and throw away one half. You still don’t have a footlong
I think the question was in regards to the degree of proof in your own ownership and security. In that case it is. But obviously it isn't a "full node" in the sense that it has the entire history, because clearly its pruned... [insert foot long analogy here]
