And it opened Amethyst to set up the wallet connect. It went fine but now Amethyst keeps showing me the zap setup pop-up each time I want to go back from a note.

 It flashes when I use the systems back key, the left swipe from the right edge, and shows up persistent when I use Amethysts back arrow  

 Hum... Interesting... I will fix this 

 I just had that same problem. Force closing fixed it.
