Okay, admittedly they aren’t doing pooled rewards yet, so not really a “pool”, but far ahead of everyone else. 

 Is there something people are waiting on before deploying Stratum v2?

It seems to me every mining pool should be running it as soon as it's ready. 

 Theres a few caveats i think...
- not all miners support stratum v2
- to support miners that dont, have to proxy
- allowing hashers to make their own block templates may introduce more overhead to verify?  

 Also the spec is still a bit in flux, so even some miners that support sv2 need to fall back to sv1 and then use a translator back to sv2.

But people should try it. 

 I mean miners will need to use a proxy anyway to incorporate their own work whether their miner supports Sv2 or not. 

 While not a complete option comparable to most pools, for the techy and those with ample hashrate this looks good on the surface.

HOWTO outlined steps you should perform for setup to actually do template construction and stratum v2 even if proxied.

And unlike Ocean, it truly isnt custodian.

 The disappointment stems from the pool's decision to actively censor transactions that displease Lukedashjr. The age of the pool is immaterial.

 Nah, they’re just doing a staged rollout of their new pool. It’ll be a “real pool” soon.
