 I was just thinking…

bitcoin (lowercase) is a Store of Value, Medium of Exchange, and Unit of Account.

But #Bitcoin (uppercase) is *THE* medium of exchange. Like the Bitcoin network is literally the medium through which bitcoin is exchanged.
that’s why they changed the name of the node software from Bitcoin to Bitcoin Core!
But then internet is lowercase and Linux is uppercase and lightning is lowercase and Bitcoin is uppercase?
Using uppercase and lowercase to differentiate them is confusing. I'd rather call the token as Bitcoin, and the payment network as the Bitcoin Network.
 Most miss that
#bitcoin is the reward to run #Bitcoin

The unit of everything is #Sat

#nostr is the medium of value for value - information , products or services ..
I hadn’t thought of it this way; thank you for sharing.

I have been using this definition of the difference as generated by AI and find it helpful when writing to know whether to capitalize or not

Incorrect. Technically, Bitcoin should always be capitalized.
 Why?
From what I recall from the original white paper, Bitcoin was a name for something. A name is a proper noun. As far as I know, and from what I was consistently taught K-16, that's technically how the official English language works. But then again, the more I think about it, even though another example, AUD (The Australian Dollar) was originally a proper name and capitalized, it does seem that many leave it uncapitalized. I would think it is technically supposed to be capitalized if it can be considered a proper noun. But I suppose many do not adhere to tradition / rules of original proper grammar.
