I think many of you #sheeple are headed to the #slaughter over misplaced trust in closed source, secure elements..🐑🙄

So I'm trying to figure out how to use a device with a secure element (backdoor) in as secure a way as possible. Aka "Don't trust, verify".

I always use a high entropy bip39 passphrase with a HW. But for cold storage I also wipe the wallet after confirming my backup.

So here's my question. How can I confirm that my wallet has been completely wiped. Including the super secret,  closed source, secure element... cough! (backdoor).

Asking for a friend..🕵️‍♂️

 Perhaps your best choice will be electrum. 

It features standard wallet, 2fa wallet, multsig wallet and cold wallet.

I use cold wallet on an old phone that never connects to the internet. To withdraw any amount pf bitcoin from my hot wallet it is necessary to physically have my cold wallet signing the transaction. That way I dont get paranoid about wiping stuff
