Tucker Carlson got tipped off that US Intelligence knew he was planning to go to Russia for business before he even told his wife via his Signal correspondences. Any #privacy people wanna weigh in with their theories on how they figured that out? @SimplifiedPrivacy.com Podcast @Seth For Privacy @privacymatters Thinking they probably hit him with Pegasus/metadata analysis but is it possible they’ve got the hooks in signal?
LIKELY COMPROMISED HIS PHONE. PEGASUS ETC. OR HE TOLD SOMEONE WHO WAS COMPROMISED.
Agreed. Other thought was maybe he was using fake & gay Apple App Store which won’t let you build from source and could easily install a compromised binary instead of the legit one
99.999999999999999% of people install phone this way or in same way with google play. Nobody at signal mentions this, anyobody who puts a 'secure messaging' app on a play or apple store is not trustworthy, and every one of those app devs knows it, they know, but create the links anyway! Push notifications scandal? Why did nobody spot this. Not one high security app developer even suspected it was possible?
It’s actually kinda obvious if you know the first thing about how push notifications work that they could easily be compromised. I keep them off if using secure messengers. What is most egregious is that Apple knew this was happening and still forced people to use their centralized fake & gay APNS server thereby making it easy on the feds. Kill your heroes. Don’t trust. Verify.
Apple is rotten, full of maggots.
Less likely than a hook in signal.
When you’re high-profile and kind of a turd expect to have your shit hacked by state and non-state actors alike.
Are you suggesting he had it coming woke anon?
Funnel people into using/preferring a network based on some feature they cant resist Monitor traffic metadata of who is talking to who with infrastructure you control or have influence over. And who they in turn talk to. Compare to past patterns from sources to match general MO. Encryption alone doesnt hide this.
yes
