All empires eventually collapse, no one on nostr will disagree with that. All fiat currencies eventually go to zero, no one on nostr will disagree with that either. For some reason, I still see a lot of cognitive dissonance from Americans on nostr. They will agree with most of these things but still expend energy to try and save the system anyway. Why? It can’t be saved. Why are you voting? Do you really think a strategic bitcoin reserve can save the dollar? If it could, why would you even want to save the dollar? Why extend the life of fiat?
The worst outcome for America is mandibles. But the likely outcome is for states to split up and separate. Those states will become socialist states like those we see in Europe: heavy censorship, taxes, and surveillance. The degree of censorship, taxation, and surveillance will vary based on the state: red vs blue. But they will ALL be socialist states nonetheless. People are retarded and will always ask for free shit and politicians use those desires to reach for more power. If you think that being in a red state like Florida or Texas will be better for you than a blue state, you’re probably right. But if you think it won’t have surveillance and tyranny, you’re wrong. Texas and Florida are already showing signs of tyranny: they already have KYC requirements to use porn and social media lmao. Stop arguing over the flavor of tyranny. Stop justifying evil because the other evil is “worse.” Why be a martyr? Why suffer for a country full of people that locked themselves down and wore masks because the tv told them the flu was deadly? Life is short, spend it with people you love. Spend it doing things you enjoy. Spend it stacking sats for a better future. Expand your options. America isn’t the end all be all. It’s not the only place on earth you can be free and happy. You don’t owe America anything. You are not the reason America is dying. It’s not your fault the gold standard is over. It’s not your duty to die for an oligarchy. Remember that the founding fathers fled the previous oligarchy to be free. They didn’t revolt and try to overthrow England. They didn’t vote for freedom from the government. They just left. That was the FIRST option they took to gain freedom. War was the last option. The best way to protect yourself from tyranny is to get as far away from it as possible. And they didn’t even have Bitcoin. We do! With Bitcoin, it’s much easier to leave the jurisdiction that is abusing you. You don’t have to convince others to give you freedom. You don’t have to teach retarded people around you why communism is bad. You don’t have to teach them how money works. You don’t have to teach them how statism is evil. You don’t have to argue about how many genders there are. Your influence is so insignificant that it will never swing an election in your favor anyway. And even if you could somehow miraculously swing one election, it still may not fix anything. And then you’d have to repeat that miracle AGAIN at the next election! It’s an endless losing battle. Trying to gain freedom through the collective consent of retards (i.e. voting) will always fail. When the game is rigged, you don’t keep playing. You find a different game. You don’t have to move to a different country but that is always an option that should be considered. It’s pointless to waste energy on a dying system when your time would be better spent finding alternative solutions that actually give you freedom. If voting could actually fix problems, we wouldn’t have anymore problems.
Just like satoshi, we should focus our energy on building an alternative system, which functions better than the current system.
The people will come to the new system automatically.
The only system I’m focusing on building is a family in the next few years 🫡
🔮Not everything is written in stone nor is it always so doom & gloom. Time marches on and takes its toll and eventually sorts out all ideas of what is to come very neatly and efficiently.
And where, exactly, would you go? Of the other empires in the world, which do you define as "free?" The UK, where the government, not so long ago, planned to enter every home in the country in order to tax "excess bedrooms?" How about China? Brazil? I could go on and on.....
