Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism, confusionism - that’s a lot of people on this planet. Perhaps “proper” is a bit righteous. Or click bait for selling something.
Nope. If you follow every member of each of those religions back enough generations, All of their ancestors ate meat without exceptions
Ok but what about everyone since then
I’m not against eating meat. But life expectancy gets shorter as you go back in time. Our species resilience over time has been its ability to utilize various sources of food rather than one source and animal domestication was much later on our evolution than an origin story. Life thrives in therapeutic ranges of nutrients. They can optimized but pouring more energy dense food in than required creates more metabolic byproducts than benefits. Balance is more important than “more is better”. I’m all for not weaponizing any one food group.
Nah man. You’re mistaken. Meat is expensive. Its cheaper to feed peasants grains and keep the meat for themselves. 4 billion chinese cant all eat 5lbs of meat a week so they feed them rice.
Its all “incentive theory” man
So much about religion is wonderful that I dont want you to mistake me here but theres also a lot of selfish shit written in those religious texts.
Its all about controlling the population and always has been. This shit has been going on since the dawn of time.
🍻
I agree with the economic incentives of our diets. And I also agree religion has served as a control on the populace in many instances since its inception. My point of these groups is that they are examples of large populations that live long healthy lives without meat. Meat is a fantastic source of energy and nutrients. Properly raised, I support it as a part of one’s diet.
