Physical sports might be the dividing line. I saw this picture of a woman in a shooting event next to this other guy Dikeç who is going viral for being so casual, like he's a hitman, and I don't have a problem with that.

 The competition from the picture is mixed doubles, they are competing for the same side, even in shooting they have M and W categories for single competitors  

 The only sport i remember from top of my head that you can compete M and W in a fair competitive level are Darts, there's no advantage by sex, the only real disparity is the numbers of male competitors, but last year there had a women that reached semi finals in the world championship, only by her merits  

 IIRC women are supposed to have an advantage in endurance swimming due to higher body fat
