 Ha! I don’t know how we’ve managed to achieve the extraordinary productivity of snail farming. It’s been no effort on our part. 
I hadn’t even thought of eating them! I enjoyed eating them in Paris but I think it was mostly the butter and garlic. I wonder if you can eat a standard garden variety snail 🐌 
 This book lists the common Roman snail, brown garden snail & giant African land snail as edible species
