If you’re a Bitcoiner who’s getting rich and you’re wondering what to spend your money on might I suggest a family? Take it from me, I’ve experienced all the fancy shit and everything else is completely meaningless.
What HODL said, but do be very discerning about who you choose as your partner. You don't want a family you never get to see. "Marry in haste; repent at leisure" - old proverb
When fate struck a few years ago, I sold some sats to take care of my family. Best decision of my life. I traded a lambo for a full life and the happiness of the people I love. Not a second of regret.
I bought a house for me and my wife with proceeds from selling some sats, and now I will probably have to sell some more to take care of my family in financial/medical crisis. It's a no-brainer. Keeping my family safe is more important than being rich.
Seen this replay out in the fiat world multiple times. Especially after 2007 cause … well the world flipped.
Where can I buy a family?
I had a boss once who was a very straight-acting gay man. He had twin daughters born through surrogacy, overseas. He was 100% gay, had never been with a woman, had a long-term gay partner, successful consultancy, really wanted kids. $20k later, he had them. Biologically half his and half some paid egg donor. So families can be purchased. Its certainly not the path I chose, but it has significant legal advantages. Whenever I meet some bitter undisciplined childless Woke bemoaning that "men don't want to commit" (and pay her half their salary after breakup), I think of that guy. He was a very devoted (but firm) father. He would agree with the OP.
i'm not even looking, but it is funny to have the change of perception from "i can never afford kids, to I might just be able to afford kids before i'm 40." if I were looking, i would prob log into facebook for the first time in a long time to look up some old college friends to see if they're single. like sending a note "hey friend, how's your life been? still married to so-and-so"? i did not see this possibility on the horizon
Experiences over “things”. And, with regard to family, all I can say in my experience is that marriage and family is like a roller coaster. Sometimes exhilarating. Sometimes scary. Full of ups and downs. You just have to decide if you want to ride or not. You will be tested. You will be rewarded. But for certain your character and your resolve will be forced to improve lol.

100%. Family is central to our being, our core. I vehemently believe we thrive in all aspects of health when selflessly giving our time and energy on behalf of our family. And that’s not an accident created out of the collision of matter from nothing billions of years ago. We’re intelligently designed to be that way.
🙌 Oh yes ❤️
Easily my favourite person in the bitcoin space. So much of your content resonates with me. I just wish I had more bitcoin to make things easier right now for my family. Hopefully in another cycle or 2 I'll have achieved that. Sometimes the whole delayed gratification thing really sucks lol
Word brother. Followed. BTW, this guy you’re following is an imposter scammer account. Please unfollow them. It gives them credibility otherwise. 🧡🍻👊🏻 npub15lk2uw27uphwa3gsxzay3cxg52ketksjemh59hh6xmd05pnkzzfsqgzmgy https://m.primal.net/MEDA.jpg
I really enjoy your notes about how important family is 💜
Most important thing in life
I wish I had known that when I was in my early 20s. then I would have spent a lot more time with my father

I have 4 kids and a wonderful and can confirm this sentiment as true.
I have an awesome wife. We struggle with the kids part though. That's really tough cause we want it really bad.
This bull run I didn't feel very elated. I still like seeing ngu but I started to question what's it all for without kids. That dampened everything big time.
Hey man, I'm sorry you're struggling to grow your family. 🫂 If it's worth anything, family to me is the people you help regardless of blood relation. I'm thinking of one day being a foster parent or adopting, whether Bio kids come along or not. But in the mean time, I help out friends with their kids and we take turns making dinner and such. I keep my eyes out for great deals for them as much as for me. Live through service to others, and you'll find meaning in it. 🫂🌄❤️
I gave 6000$ to my mother in the 2021 bullrun. She was totally ungrateful. Barely thanked me at the time even though it was a huge amount for her. 3 years later I asked candidly what she end up doing with that money, she told me it was a gift and I should not be asking that question. She will not get more money from me. I gave 0.1 btc to my sister in 2021. Her husband had her sell most of it when bitcoin hit 50k again in 2024. She won't get more bitcoin from me I'll just focus in my wife and children
Don't give if you have expectations attached to your gift
I’m still struggling with the idea to get financial and location independence first before starting with kids
Can I have your fancy meaningless shit?
Fax 📠 Also: if you start giving when you’re not “wealthy” it makes it part of who you are. Simple: not always easy. Use all resources you have to create better world. Love you, mean it. #btc #bitcoin #nostr also some #biblestr for @jonnyhodl oops 🙊 @1776 YO MAN: Do you talk to all the @HODL PEOPLE? Maybe I should go back to being Lady Liberty then? 🤣🫂🫡🕊️💁🏻♀️ https://nostrcheck.me/media/2aadfb8ac7d43aca6d164ed99248147910048269601ff60d4463c4d5b3abfdcd/ecfc8d63e5f0b57a2fc494fc40fc9c8eb6218ac586ee9ce38b6df1e354404f40.webp
HA… agreed, and so, where do i find a man into bitcoin, raw milk, steak dinner at least 3x a week, red light, nature therapy, and yoga??
Bitcoin conferences seem like a good place to start
i’m a total introvert 😬😬 but sure, maybe i can step out of my shell for a few warm May days in Las Vegas.
I'm spending it on the 2nd amendment thank you very much
True. Invest in experiences and there is no greater and more rewarding experience then family with kid(s).
