 @b870d4c8 @f9cb8dfe I hear ya. They manage to tell a "very Star Wars" story without Jedi, and in a style that's entirely "late 70s." It's not I divergence. It's an embrace of early Lucas' style, like in THX 1138.

 @081bc0ac @f9cb8dfe that's what I liked about early Mandalorian as well. It had a practical effects feels even when it was actually CGI.

 @b870d4c8 @f9cb8dfe True! Low-magic Star Wars is some of the best. The force and light sabre fights should be special.

 @081bc0ac @f9cb8dfe anyone who has gamemastered a roleplaying campaign knows it gets boring after a while because the heroes can wave their hands and break all the conventions that made the fictional world have *stakes* :)
