 My process was to change my main twitter handle to a new one and then take it private. I then created a new account to take over my old Twitter handle with a single post saying to find me here when I was fully ready. This way I still have my old profile name reserved away from scammers but was able to leave it all behind.  

 I'm finding that id rater be on nostr than facistbook, though still waiting for enough to adoption, gotta check in on FB every so often for family posts or marketplace listings

 I logged in today the first time in a week and it is just a toxic mainstream filled cesspit with propaganda and grifters. Most of my timeline isn't even my followers... Its utter trash! 

 You likely had a much bigger account going on there than I did but I nuked prior to X, and I didn’t skip a beat. 

It’s just night and day better on endless levels on Nostr. There is no comparison between the two.

I had a sizable LinkedIn account and I recently closed it if that helps.

 It is okay for these decisions to be journeys rather than snap decisions. Freedom tech in general has both a learning curve and an emotional curve, at least I’ve found. I was very scared of adopting Linux, but after watching enough tutorials on YouTube I eventually got comfortable. 

 It took me over a year to finally do it. Thought about it many times, took several breaks, then would come back and feel awful every time I used it. It's 100% a drug. Best of luck sir 🫡

 Brad, I hear ya. You're choice but the best thing that ever happened to me was getting banned from Twitter. I finally got a new account and when I go to post something I realize just what a toxic cesspool of hate twitter really is and has been. 

 Nostr will have all of the problems you see on Twitter too.

 Been off for a couple of months. After a while you don’t miss it. And if it has anything to do with bitcoin, there’s no news that you’re going to totally miss if you’re on nostr. You may miss truly breaking news, but later in the day you’ll see it on nostr.

I not only deleted twitter, but stopped consuming news too. Really surprised at how much it improved my life.

 I definitely recommend it. However I understand the difficulty if you have a long history and a big following on the platform.
