I put ghee in my coffee every morning because drinking it black is harsh on an empty stomach. (Ghee has a lot of health benefits and none of the casein protein to which I’m a bit sensitive.)
But when the ghee gets down to the end of the jar, it’s hard to scrape out with a spoon, and I hate to waste it. So, in a stroke or genius, I realized I could pour a couple ounces of hot coffee into the ghee jar, put the lid back on, shake it and get every last bit of ghee melted into it before pouring it back into the cup.
I’m only half joking when I say “stroke of genius.” Creative solutions to intractable problems are real, even if a simpleton might have come up with it, and the problem is minor. I probably threw out 20 jars with ghee residue in them before solving it, wasted half a jar over that span.
