- US prosecution cannot be political; it has been pursued by numerous US administrations

- Assange not being prosecuted for his political opinions, and he is acting in bad faith

- CIA plots to kill or kidnap Assange not admissible; the indictment has been handled in a legitimate manner

- Assange's activities go beyond ordinary journalism and into criminality, so he cannot be protected under ECHR articles on freedom of expression
