Here's a sneak-peek of the cell that will support the secondary mirror of ESO's Extremely Large #Telecope.

This mirror is 4.25 m wide, the largest optical secondary mirror ever on a telescope. Heck, it's even larger than the *primary* mirror of many current telescopes!

This cell was made by Sener in #Spain.

I watched a programme recently about the VLT which was really interesting. Then at the end of the programme, the host drove over to where they're currently building the ELT and it is just *HUGE!*

Cannot wait for the wonders that will come from it ✨🙂
