Europe’s insect apocalypse may mostly be driven by changing weather, not habitat loss or pesticides. This is a surprising finding from a new study analysing 50 years of data on more than 12,000 insect species across 81 countries. This worries the future of biodiversity and ecosystem services, as climate change is expected to worsen and bring more extreme weather events. #insects #climatechange #biodiversity https://www.newscientist.com/article/2394290-europes-insect-apocalypse-may-mostly-be-driven-by-changing-weather/?utm_source=flipboard&utm_content=HariTulsidas%2Fmagazine%2FArchetypes https://s3.masto.ai/media_attachments/files/111/142/899/538/674/931/original/09a6a1d2834aa6a2.jpeg
