India’s Digital Competition Bill has turned previous foes in the tech industry into unlikely allies and sparked a polarising debate on market practices. The Committee on Digital Competition Law (CDCL) submitted its report to the ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) on February 27, after working on it for more than a year. The draft of the Digital Competition Bill, 2024, has turned the unlikeliest of foes into close friends and the thickest friends into perhaps industry colleagues who no longer see eye-to-eye.
