 Aren’t sting operations illegal? 
 well, the only thing they are good at is stopping the terrorist attacks and mass shooting that they plan, so... 
 entrapment basically says
enticing someone to commit a crime they wouldn't otherwise commit. It's a judgment call that I would argue usually favors the prosecution.  
 Does seem fair. 
 On the other hand, they confirmed how hard it is to track these people, otherwise.  

In a way, they kinda revealed a part of their hand. 
 so the FBI is going to commit SEC violations to catch SEC violations? Makes sense considering they are known to stop their own terror plots
