I have a question. Would love some perspective on certain topic.
Can #bitcoin give purpose and hope to someone who doesn't have any passions and no clear way in life?
Deep inside I personally think that it is possible but would love to know what some of you think.
In certain instances I think it can. One needs to have an inclination to learn new things, but certainly possible.
So study as sense of life. It can serve this purpose with no limits. I also think about having a defined "truth" in our life can change things..now when everything is uncertain and "fake" in many cases.
I think so, many feel anything it's pointless because they feel no matter what they cannot beat the system. Bitcoin gives hope in a sense that you can opt out of this system, you can be productive and save in bitcoin and have some hope that it will help you succeed, and its only up to you, no one can take bitcoin from you, and it becomes like a game to stack as much as you can to your future. I think that's it, bitcoin gives you hope for the future.
Hope, purpose, sense of controlling one's destiny. Yeah..this can build you up in great way. Since we forgot about this part of our lives it can be a huge shift. This phenomenon does not exist in Fiat world so you need to step into bitcoin world.
Like anything - art, other people, an event, religion, profession - can inspire and give at least feeling of purpose, to many. But at the end it's one's will and reason that finds that purpose.

As for the hope - certainly bitcoin gives to many of us. Even if not about the bigger picture, identity, the goals in life - but about the world outside, at least monetary part - yes.
In a world where hardly anything is "ours" and belings to us...having this one thing that can't be controlled by anyone else can shift our life around.
before bitcoin, the most important that can't be controlled by anyone else is... your mind
 ✊🏼
I think, people sometimes shut themselves off, leaving little room for passion or a clear path forward. Us hoomans are complicated beings. Even if we want to help or contribute by offering knowledge, support or presence, the other person has to be the one who opens and walks through the door, and discover their purpose and hope. Whether the person is open to the idea of Bitcoin and finds purpose in it, will be entirely up to them. I think your question is lovely and I hope my answer gave you another perspective (although it might not be relevant for you - it was what first came to my mind.)
Thanks. I try to share this passion with people around me..I can feel and see benefits as I study #bitcoin everyday and allow it to take me places. I haven't succeeded yet I have to admit. "The other side" has to be opened as you said. It makes me sad sometimes because I feel that it could help some people I know. To get them over "financial side" of BTC is the hardest part.
Depends if you have a passion for finance and freedom, or you can see the beauty of mathematics in the thing itself, like someone who appreciates art.
I see it as a tool with many purposes, I like tools, but, personally, couldn't get my purpose in life from it.
May be a platform on which one can build life purpose? Building on truth that can be verified is a powerful thing. It seems to be absent in today's world.
Totally agree with that, truth is in very short supply in today's world.
It likely depends upon WHY they have no passions and no clear way in life.

There are those that ‘share’ this planet with us that do not actually desire to live. These are the ones who try to claw down greatness, achievement, skill, joy for being alive.

If you look closely it is remarkable just how many zombies roam amongst us. If you can’t SEE them yet, find true joy, purpose, ability and then you will see them.

Others simply need a guiding hand. Giving them Bitcoin will do nothing for them. Teaching them about Bitcoin and showing them how to earn Bitcoin and be worthy of it, will. You will be simply shining a light on something they were already searching for, even if they didn’t yet know it.
 Brilliant 🙌🏼.
Yes, I believe so. If pursuing your own hapiness is not enough, then there are many ways in which you help other people by talking about, hacking, and buying Bitcoin. By talking about Bitcoin, you show others a path to financial freedom. By hacking Bitcoin (both in the “destructive” and the constructive sense), you improve the tools others can use to achieve financial freedom. And last but not least, every time you get rid of some government shitcoin and exchange it for BTC, you move the fiat system which actively impoverishes the poor (Cantillon effect) closer to a collapse and draw more people towards Bitcoin - and these people do the same for still more people etc. Hopefully it makes sense 🙂
I think it can help in so much that after a while the person can at least have some sort of back up should things take a nasty turn. Eg eviction or other difficult life situation.

I’ve always had music so I can’t say with certainty money can save people. Very few of my old friends made it, they either died or went mad. I honestly think music rescued me.

I can add one argument that in my opinion sums up most positive changes : #bitcoin lowers your time preference and that changes a lot of things and effects the way you live everyday. In a way it's a tool designed to do that.
@GLACA Absolutely, Bitcoin can indeed provide purpose and hope for individuals who feel lost or lack clear direction in life. It can serve as a gateway into the world of finance, technology, and decentralization, offering a sense of involvement in a groundbreaking movement.

For many, the philosophy behind Bitcoin—decentralization, financial sovereignty, and challenging the traditional financial system—resonates deeply. Learning about Bitcoin and its potential can ignite a passion for innovation, economics, and technology. It can also inspire individuals to become part of a larger community, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose.

Moreover, the dynamic nature of the cryptocurrency market and its potential for financial growth can motivate individuals to educate themselves, develop new skills, and stay engaged with current events. This journey of continuous learning and adaptation can be incredibly fulfilling, providing a renewed sense of direction and hope for the future.
I don't think Bitcoin per se can give any really deep value - maybe fleetingly. Anything external to ourselves is simply remedial. For example - music has been a constant "medicine" in my life - particularly during a period when I was going cold turkey, withdrawing from Valium. I still find it therapeutic to sing and play the piano on particular. But, without wishing to sound like an old hippy, love, understanding, and forgiveness are the real answer - not Bitcoin.
Yeah but the value from Bitcoin is that it breaks the poverty cycles created by inflationary fiat.

Right now you HAVE to work your whole life, put your money into risky investments, and go into massive debt just to survive.

With a deflationary, sound, hard money like Bitcoin, you just work through your prime years and save, then retire and live off your savings, the way people were meant to live.

It will give all of us more time and energy to pursue our passions and connect with people. Bitcoin isn't the answer but it allows us to get there as a species.
