It's funny, when I first started experimenting with Linux, I saw distros like #EndeavourOS and thought, "There's no way I could ever use that. I need full GUI functionality, I don't want to use the terminal more than necessary." Fast-forwarding to now and I'm genuinely considering flashing it to a laptop and using it on the side. Could I ever see myself using it as my daily driver distro? Definitely not. I do still prefer a GUI overall, it's just a lot quicker and easier to use. However, as I've studied for my A+, I've grown more and more comfortable with CLIs to the point where I actually get a bit hyped up to use one when I need to run specific commands. #CLI #terminal #Linux
You know you have the choice of like 8 GUIs with Endevour? Probably more actually.
Indeed, I should have been more specific. I'm referring to how Endeavour focuses more on CLI for things like installing and updating software.
I got you, they used to have a graphical package manager, didn't they? I haven't used it in a couple of years, but I thought they did. Of course, it wasn't a nicely presented app store, just a frontend to the command line utilities.
It looks like there is but it's extremely barebones and basically doesn't look any more visually appealing than doing it via a CLI haha
