No human on the planet is allergic to Iodine. It is biologically impossible. If you have been told you are allergic to iodine they your doctor is ignorant of basic biology. The average human contains 95 quintillion atoms of iodine... https://youtu.be/1v0Q0dLOXDc
I never actually understood why allergy to iodine contrast mediums was interpreted as an allergy to iodine itself.
Sometimes the dose makes the poison.
It is biologically impossible to be allergic to iodine. Allergies are due to the other part of the iodine contrast mediums, not iodine itself.
That may be true, I was just pointing out too much of anything can interfere with normal biological functioning. It wouldn't be considered an allergy, but it's still detrimental nonetheless. You can overdose on water for example.
Iodine from the contract can absolutely cause acute thyrotoxicosis called "thyroid storm" in some rare cases, which is why it is (theoretically) important to check TSH/fT4 levels before doing an iodine contrast CT scan. But it's not an allergy, and is not a contraindication to perform a contrast CT.

My TikTok is full of them
Shit, I couldn't get through the day at all without iodine. It's what comes once the medical establishment decided to almost kill me when they decided to put me through thyroid ablation... TWICE in less than 90 days. Then send me a letter asking if I was ok because they mistakenly dosed me I don't remember how many more times over the recommended dose of RAI. What sucks? I didn't even have cancer. Armour alone doesn't cut it one bit. I miss the me I was before all that.
Did some research, the body is about 7 x 10^27 total atoms (20 zeros) (7 x 10^27) ÷ 95 quintillion x100 to put it in percentage... That's 0.0135% iodine body composition No idea if that's enough or too much though
