The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has announced it can proceed with discrimination cases brought by Armenia and Azerbaijan against each other over Nagorno-Karabakh. The two countries have contested the territory since the Soviet Union collapsed, and allegations include ethnic cleansing, hate speech, and racial propaganda. The ICJ issued emergency orders in 2021 to prevent incitement and promote racial tolerance.
