there's also one where a dog is for sale (this cutest dog has to go!!! fast! please, we can't take care of him anymore), and people have to make a down payment, and of course they never get the dog nor their money back

facebook definitely has its own scam ecosystem adapted to the specific conditions of that social network

like half of the product advertisements is fake shops with ai generated product images and descriptions, then with some very "cheap" price so people fall for it, then if they order get nothing or the shittiest dropship item instead
 

 It's gotten awful. Scammers are clever & there's this false sense that FB protects against it somehow. If it wasn't for my parents, I would have bailed a long time ago... but I gotta stick around & make sure they don't get scammed 😂
