I'd like to see X run their own Nostr relay and give all of their users a bridge to interact with Nostr users, like the Fediverse and BlueSky and Threads people supposedly can. Let's truly have a public square instead of a bunch of walled gardens.

I get it. I do but it’s still a long way away. Get Max Keiser over here & maybe my opinion changes. Max was pro-freedom way before many could even spell BTC (publicly). And he doesn’t see the value in Nostr. Not at all.

(To the original poster) I’d also venture that Nostr interest goes WAY up in the realistic event that an authoritarian United States government establishes more coercive censorship over X, or even manages to cripple it.

I just see X as a shitty experience, algorithms suck on that site. So much BS is sent to you. Net negative in my opinion.
Agreed on Algos. Curating your feed can make it very usable. Don’t get lost in the woods.
I think Nostr will be much better when there is an image filter for NSFW items, I can’t browse hashtags for all the crap that gets posted. Then an algorithm that I can adjust.

Need a paid premium version, filter to only paid profiles, probably get rid of a lot of spam bots. Nice way for developers to make coin too.

I wonder why some people decentralise money and stop there. It's so obvious to see the benefits of nostr, but some just don't want to change their habits and beliefs.

Why invest time in such a platform when there's a better alternative?
How will the user base grow without voices evangelizing Nostr on these platforms? I'm of the opinion that you should at least get banned for promoting Nostr if you're done with 'em. That is before they censor anything related to nostr on all platforms.
