That's really admirable. That's why I don't send Bitcoin to loved ones. I just hold it for them in secret.

If they are not willing to stack on their own, I don't think they will value the gift of one. 

They likely will see how much they can cash out in fiat for it, which defeats the whole purpose of #BTC.
