There you are.
I'm now trying to connect to all relays I can. Hopefully this is what's one is supposed to do. 🤔
I am receiving you on relay.primal.net, relay.damus.io, and nostr.oxtr.dev -- at least. From: nilostolte at 06/11 14:17 > I'm now trying to connect to all relays I can. Hopefully this is what's one is supposed to do. 🤔 CC: nilostolte CC: marcan0 CC: unclebobmartin
I'm connected to 11 relays by now, Numbers are increasing fast.
What client are you using? From: nilostolte at 06/11 14:22 > I'm connected to 11 relays by now, Numbers are increasing fast. CC: nilostolte CC: marcan0 CC: unclebobmartin
No, its quite wasteful because everyone is on some subset of the network, you'll probably experience performance problems because of all the network traffic and processes. You should be okay with primal, nostr.band, relay.damus.io and a lot of the other default relays until you get yourself situated 🙂
It helps to sign into a paid relay. You give them a few sats and they provide a reliable feed. I use atlast.nostr.land, eden.nostr.land, and filter.nostr.wine From: nilostolte at 06/11 14:17 > I'm now trying to connect to all relays I can. I'm unable to connect to neither one of these three.
Yeah, you have to pay for them first. Just replace wss with http and the. Send them some sats.
Welcome to nostr Nilo! A few relays (max 8-10) is enough. Most clients connect to all relays and downloads a lot of duplicate data from each of them. It will swallow your data plan if you connect to too many relays 🤙
Thanks! I'm now filtering and staying only with the fastest.
Don't hesitate asking if you have any questions re: nostr!
No problem. Thanks.
