Is the little tab something okay to remove if installing on a grill that doesn’t have a thermostat? Looks like maybe it’s there to prevent it from rotating. https://www.diningandcooking.com/962381/is-the-little-tab-something-okay-to-remove-if-installing-on-a-grill-that-doesnt-have-a-thermostat-looks-like-maybe-its-there-to-prevent-it-from-rotating/ #WeberGrills #Weber-StephenGrills #Weber-StephenProductsLLC https://media.vive.im/media_attachments/files/111/171/565/176/775/064/original/412be5c3c2c365b2.jpg
@47ce6ec1 If you're drilling a hole to add the thermometer, just measure and drill a slightly smaller hole to fit the tab. That way it functions as intended. You could also remove it if you wanted to. Also, nbd, but it's a thermometer if all it does is measure temp, it's not a thermostat until it uses that temperature sensing to control a function.
