 BDK is working on Compact Block Filters (CBF), which elevates the need to run an own electrum server. Once CBF is in BDK it will be the default in https://github.com/andreasgriffin/bitcoin-safe

 If you think about it, it has both! 

 Major security risk that for this price not even a display is included. Even a cheap Ledger Nano S is better (with knowing the recent data breach news). I think it should be redesigned. 

 Given everything including the hardware will be open source, anyone can add a screen if they wish. 

Everything is trade offs. Read our blog post on screens. 

 Why do we need a screen on everything ?  refrigerator to router ,  coffee machine to cars ..

 Because if you have any malware on your phone, PC, etc. You can't verify on the device that the Bitcoin address is not changed.

There are tradeoffs though, loading time is substantially slower, and bandwidth consumption substantially larger...  

 I think this product would be good for someone like my mom. Trying to walk her through the steps to receive bitcoin to her Ledger over the phone is usually an hour-long process.
