I'm not sure we can infer intention on the basis of circumstantial correlation. Is there any contemporaneous documentation substantiating the idea that Satoshi purposely timed the halving frequency to coincide with major world events?  

 Well if he didn’t is a very mystical correlation dont you think? 

 It's only mystical or special if you're looking at it from a certain subjective perspective. Seeing it as mystical means you're projecting meaning onto the circumstances. Objectively speaking, it's just a coincidence.
