People all over the world are positive about the Ig Nobel Prize, and due to this atmosphere, the press covers it as a "fun science topic'', but I find it difficult to enjoy the award as I used to. There are many people who choose a career in research and suffer from low wages. The generation that starts families and raises children is suffering. The same is true in Japan and America. There are only a limited number of people who can get tenure posts that provide lifelong stable income. (1/2)
The Ig Nobel Prize can be very sinful if it seduces people with its "academic charm'' and ends up ruining their lives or causing them to take a detour in their life. So I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with the Ig Nobel Prize. Science is not guilty. The culprits are the scientists who use up young researchers and easily fire fixed-term employees, pretending to be innocent.
