@ce0206c9 it is also fighting the state when you remove yourself as a local tax payer and participant in their economy. They lose on all future revenue from you, you lose nothing but having to move yourself.

Good point. Washington state doesn't have a state income tax, so I often forget about that. 

Property taxes support fascist-run school systems in Florida, Texas, etc.
