@:ihavenomouth: @ I once had codeine for a headache and it helped a lot but I'm pretty sure it's just because it relaxed the head and neck muscles and knocked me out. It probably helps with tension headaches for that reason.
@cassidyclown @:ihavenomouth: i heard taking valproate (a mood stabilizer im taking (also used for epilepsy)) regularly prevents migraine episodes very effectively which is interesting, seems like a lot of the stuff in our brain is connected with each other but we havent figured out why
@cassidyclown @:ihavenomouth: https://erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=109338 this is what i was talking about btw
@ @cassidyclown it's first-line apparently, they probably prescribed it to me and it didn't help. I remember beta blockers and amitriptyline, but not the third drug.
@ @:ihavenomouth: Every drug's mechanism of action that controls one thing is also responsible for a thousand other things we don't understand it's fucked up.
@cassidyclown @ @:ihavenomouth: when I take any nsaids I get really bad nosebleeds constantly so I can't ever take anything for pain and it sucks really hard
