 mystery? yes. Branding? I am not sure why it would matter.

 yeah possibly. we'd just treat it as another form of attack and fight back, same as everything else. I think the strength is now in the community and adoption. Too much at stake for too many people to let one person's history do anything to the network. 

 Not sure it matters. Maybe if it's the CIA, it might turn many off Bitcoin.

 Probably nothing really. Satoshi can't change anything about Bitcoin at this point.  Satoshis identity was only important in the beginning when the protocol was more centralized
