If you have an ape, and an ape gives you 2x tickets to an intimate Eminem performance, you could put those those tix on Ticketmaster and collect a few thousand dollars on the free market.

Their value had to do with membership in a club, that club has/had benefits where you could monetize tickets that members were given as ownership perks. 

It does put the burden of maintaining that value on Yuga labs to keep the perks coming and planning events…
