Today, I was making window casings for the tiny house out of the last of the reclaimed cherry I've had kicking around for years. Feels good to get back to working with wood, and to make some space in the garage. Feels good to actually get something fastened up. So much time is spent cutting, sanding, and staining all the trim, it almost seems too easy when it actually goes in. Walls are birch plywood with linseed oil and wax finish, rough sawn cherry finished with tung oil for the window casing and trim, reclaimed pine finished with iron acetate and wax for the beam. Floors an ceiling are t+g pine car siding finished with linseed oil and many coats of polyurethane (Polished with automotive compound). I've got rough sawn ash I'm going to work in somewhere too. The solar power was flowing and the dehydrator was constantly loaded.
